I'm so good

Today we made it back from our week in Tennessee. It was so much fun! (Don't worry, many pictures are to come). A sneak peek: live bluegrass, a visit from Santa, Addie's first car, an emergency appendectomy, and visiting great-grandaddy.

When we got home today, of course we were welcomed by a large pile of mail, and an empty fridge. So, I headed off to the grocery store to spend the remainder of our envelope money (yes, we are "loose" Dave Ramsey followers) on necessary groceries. I love HEB.

This is a bragging blog. I went through the 10 item lane with my, ahem, ahem, 10 items. My $21 in my wallet covered the $21.34 cent bill, leaving just pennies in my wallet. I was so proud. It has definitely made my day. It may not be important to some, but I thought it was great. Happy shopping!

Thanksgiving!

Thanksgiving was so fun! We had everyone staying at our house, my parents, my sister, brother-in-law, 5 year old nephew, 2 year old niece, and both of their dogs. It was a little like a camp out, with sleeping bags, presents, and lots of stuff...everywhere! But, it was so much fun! Here are a few highlights...

After everyone left, we had a little bit of Thanksgiving withdrawals...sad to have everyone gone, but a little glad to have the house to ourselves again.

Yes, Addie is brushing her teeth, by herself (after mommy has a turn, first). She loves it, and usually cries when we put the toothbrush away.

Addie loves to read her Cordouroy book. Cordouroy goes to the doctor every day at our house!


This is Addie's new trick. She loves to clench her tiny fists and grunt...I think she is just showing us her muscles.


We are way behind with our X-Mas pictures and not sure if they will be ready to mail before X-mas. We may end up doing a New Year's card. Would that be bad??

A couple of weeks ago, we took our first annual trip to the pumpkin patch. Addison loved the scarecrows, especially one dressed like a dog. Here are a few of the cute shots

Then, tonight was our church's Trunk or Treat. Addie was a pretty pink flower, and picked up on the concept of gathering candy very quickly.
