Vacation is the best!

We had such a great trip to Port Aransas. The gulf really gets a bad rap (or is it wrap?), but the beach was so clean, and the water was green and clear. So pretty. the weather was perfect, the sand was soft and the hermit crabs were plentiful. We had such a fun time swimming in the ocean, playing in the waves, digging in the sand, burying Kril, then Declan, digging up hermit crabs and sanddollars, and trying to figure out where all those mussels are going. And, a cup of coffee tastes so much better on the patio overlooking the ocean. My camera battery died quickly, so we took most of our pix on my parents and my sister's cameras. Here are a few we got before it died.

Our little beach baby

Greasy, shiny sunscreen (that attracts sooooo much sand!)

Daddy and Addie digging in the sand together. She picked up on that very quickly. The sand was her second favorite thing to the waves!

Every girl needs her very own yellow shovel!

Helping to bury Declan in the sand...but just getting sand in his eyes.

Our sandy little family sitting comfortably in the sandcastle chair that Addie helped Daddy build.

The following pix, I stole from my sister's blog. Ha!

Declan showing off the view from our patio

The boys after a long day on the fishing boat. (Andy and Papa went to, but just didn't make it for the pix)

Almost the whole family doing some afternoon shopping (sister was taking the pix, I think).

The girls on a shell hunt in the morning with Mama Dee.

I wish everyday could be vacation...we can only hope.

And a few unrelated pictures...

Our FCA cheerleaders that stayed at our house for the week of the FCA All-Star Game. We had such a fun time with our sweet new friends, Shelly, Sarah, and Courtney!

And the results of teething baby with two handfuls of oatmeal. Yikes.

And getting messier.

The evidence.

Becoming more upset due to a long encounter with a wet washcloth. (Sorry, I forgot to turn this one, and the computer is about to die!)

It looks as though Andy got some sort of seaweed on his back... that's it, right?
